Reading — Philippians 2:5–11, Confession — Lord Jesus, You came to rescue us from sin and shame. You broke down the wall that separated us from God and you put Heaven into our hearts. We confess that we have not loved as you love, we have not served as you serve. Forgive us and renew us, so that we share your attitude towards the world. Help us to daily live out the freedom you died to give us. Amen.

Questions:
1. Fill in the blank: I’d like to be more ________________.
2. Read Phil 2:5-11. In what ways did Jesus act as a servant and a King? In what ways could your attitude be more like His? How would this impact your everyday living?
3. Read Isaiah 45 (especially verse 23). How does the Philippians passage connect to this prophecy?
4. Read Phil 2:12-16. What does it mean to “work out your salvation”? How is this different from salvation based on works?
When do you tend to complain or argue? What difference will having the mind of Christ make?
