PRAYER EVENTS

The HEARTS acronym creates prayers for people coming to church this week who have never heard the message of salvation in Jesus Christ.

Hearts – pray for receptive hearts
Ears – pray they will be open to hear the Spirit’s Word for them
Attitude – pray they understand the Father’s attitude toward sin and His solution in Jesus
Release –  pray for release from barriers and strongholds that are holding them captive to their past
Transformation – pray for an experience of new life in Christ
Sent – pray that they may be witnesses to share Christ with the lost

“I WILL GIVE THEM A HEART TO KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD.” –JEREMIAH 24:7
“IF YOU CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH, ‘JESUS IS LORD’ AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, YOU WILL BE SAVED.” –ROMANS 10:9

At Shepherd, we are a people of prayer. We believe God answers prayer and we integrate prayer in all we do: corporate prayer in worship, prayer in small groups , praying in Sunday School and The Circuit. We encourage everyone to grow in prayer (James 5:16, Matthew 18:18-20).

There are many ways you can get involved in the prayer ministry at Shepherd. For more information or to join one of these teams, contact Pastor Johan or Cathy Colman.
