Join us for worship

What should I expect at the service?

Come as you are! We’re relaxed, so don’t worry about the details.

Our ushers will welcome you, hand you a program, and, if you wish, help you find a seat. Sit where you feel comfortable. Our services typically last about one hour. The program includes an outline of the service, including songs we will sing, and information about upcoming activities and events. Our services begin with a welcome from one of our staff and a few announcements. After this, we begin a time of singing—join in as you feel comfortable. When it is our time of offering, don’t feel obligated to give—just pass the plate. Giving is meant for people who have made Shepherd their church home.

At some services, we offer communion. Anyone is welcome to partake in communion, we just ask that you believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior. The ushers will direct you up the aisles if you choose to take communion. If you don’t, no worries, you can stay in your seat.

Can my kids come?

Kids are always welcome in services. If your child gets restless, you can watch the service from the Family Room or bring your child to the nursery. Nursery care is always available at each of our services for children 4 and under.

For pre-K through 6th grade students, Sunday School is available most Sundays at the first and second services. Visit the Welcome Center near the Student Entrance to register your child, then we’ll escort you and your child to their grade-appropriate classroom. Students in grades 7 through 12 are encouraged to worship with their family on the weekend and join our student focused worship on Wednesday nights. Pick up information about The Circuit student ministry at the Welcome Center.
