Twendetogether.com | An ordinary family hoping to make an extraordinary impact
The Maxwell family moved to Tanzania in 2006 wanting to make a difference in the world, live in a different country, and open their minds to a different way of living. They never expected for their hearts to be forever changed. After meeting a friend from school who introduced them to his dream that God had placed on his heart to build a church and love his community, they partnered with him and have been connected ever since.
Currently, they help sponsor a local pastor, monthly medical clinics, COVID recovery funds and loans to families in need. They also helped build a two room schoolhouse for Kindergarten students. Many of these students receive a scholarship to go for free, while others pay around $5.00 per month. They raise funds each month to pay for the teacher, scholarship students, and a daily feeding program through ordinary people like us. Our goal for the week is to raise $1000. If every kid brought in $1 a day, we would exceed our goal!
