– What’s one of your favorite memories of being celebrated (birthday, achievement, special event)? How did it make you feel to be honored or recognized?

– In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus offers us rest, calling us to come to Him when we are weary. How do you think God celebrates us through His invitation to rest? What does it mean that this rest is a part of His love and care for us?

– In Luke 15:3-10, the shepherd celebrates when he finds the lost sheep and the woman celebrates when she finds the coin. What does this parable teach us about how God feels when he finds us, even after we have wandered away or been lost? Describe a time in your life when you felt lost or far away from God’s celebrating heart.

– Luke 15:11-32 – Which character do you identify with and at which point in the story? God celebrates and invites both sons to enter into his celebration. When have you felt God’s invitational pull of love in your life?

– After reflecting on God’s celebration of us in these passages, how can you intentionally remember or experience His celebration this week? Is there a specific way you can rest in God’s love, celebrate His forgiveness, or share that celebration with someone else?
