Read these Scriptures about the heart (Proverbs 27:19, Psalm 20:4, Matthew 6:21, Proverbs 10:8): how would you summarize Scripture’s view of the heart? 

How might we align our heart to God’s heart? What are some ways we can do that?

What is an area in your life where you see your heart aligned with God’s heart? How might that reveal something about your purpose? 

Read Psalm 37:4. What is your reaction to this verse? How do you understand this to be true in our lives? (especially when we know we don’t always get the desires of our hearts) 

Why do you think God cares that we live from a motivation of love rather than obligation? How do we know if we are actually doing that?
