- What’s something you’ve done in your life that you felt unqualified for?
Discussion Questions
- Share something that stuck out to you about the message.
- Read Isaiah 6:1–8. Put yourself in Isaiah’s shoes. What would you be thinking or feeling if you were him?
- What does Isaiah mean about unclean lips? In what ways are we prone to count ourselves out from being used by God?
- What changes Isaiah’s perspective to be able to say “here I am?” Do you think God wants to use us in a similar way? Why or why not?
- Do you have availability in your life to be used by God? Why or why not? What are some common reasons people feel they can’t or won’t be used by God?
- What is the balance between God’s role and our responsibility when it comes to being used by God?
- How might we know when God is calling us to something?
Prayer Practice
Set a timer for one to three minutes (whatever your group is comfortable with). Spend that time praying and telling God that you’re available to be used by Him. Share afterward what that experience was like.
