When we serve others in our community, we grow more like Jesus and practice the Shepherd value of Others First.

Serving the community means joining in our mission to love God and our neighbors by showing care to those outside of Shepherd’s walls. It means coming alongside people and organizations already making a difference in our own communities and beyond to support them in their goal of serving people who are hurting, under-resourced, or in need of support.

We’re excited to help you go be the Church! Choose from a monthly Shepherd shift at:

• Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities | Located in St. Paul, UGMTC is a local ministry meeting the needs of many experiencing hardship & serving 3 meals a day, 365 days a year. Shepherd serves on the first Thursday of each month, 5:00-7:30pm
• Valley Outreach | Located in Stillwater, Valley Outreach is community-powered nonprofit providing food, clothing, and support to people who need help. Shepherd serves on the second Tuesday of each month, 4:00-7:00pm
• Hudson Backpack & Food Program | Located in Hudson, Hudson Backpack is a food program serving community members in need. Shepherd serves on the third Thursday of the month, 5:00-7:00pm
• Loaves & Fishes | Located in St. Paul, Loaves & Fishes serves free, healthy meals to Minnesotans where the need is the greatest. Shepherd serves on the first Wednesday of each month, 3:30 or 4:00pm
